Bonobos to open largest flagship in Manhattan

Bonobobos has announced the opening of its largest flagship store to date in Manhattan's Flatiron District. The 4,000-sq.-ft. space will be located at 95 Fifth Avenue and is slated to open in June.

The men's clothing brand currently has 14 other physical store locations around the country, reported the New York Post. Stores serve as Guideshops, in which consumers can try on merchandise and then order the items online. Sales associates are intended to be seen as guides who help customers find the right style and fit.

While other locations exist in Manhattan, these showrooms are 1,200 and 800 sq. ft. respectively.

"This Fifth Avenue Guideshop is our first real flagship," CEO Andy Dunn told The New York Post. "This will really expose our customer to the breadth of assortment we have [in] tailored clothing, shirts, suits, outerwear."

Bonobos has been working on expansion since it raised an additional $55 million in venture capital funding last summer. The investment is being used to grow the company to 40 physical locations by 2016.

Although pants used to be the company's best seller, shirts and suits now account for more than half of the brand's business.
