Birchbox to open its first retail store in Manhattan

Birchbox, the beauty subscription service that mails sample-sized products to its customers, is planning to open its first store in Manhattan. Shoppers will be able to browse and test beauty samples and create their own sample box for $15. The store will also feature several high-tech investments, such as touch-screen devices that will offer surveys to find the best products for each customer, along with reviews from other Birchbox users.

The store will be located in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood and measures 4,500 square-feet. The store is slated to open in late spring. Story
