Terre Layton joins Birchbox as global VP of product management and user experience, and Fran Gaitanaros as VP of creative.

Layton was most recently with Sephora as head of front-end product management and leading strategic digital innovation projects. She is responsible for global product management, the product strategy and roadmap, and user experience, overseeing the entire customer journey with a focus on its online shop.

Gaitanaros joins Birchbox as former design director at One Kings Lane with extensive expertise in branding and marketing solutions, creative direction, and building and managing high-performance teams.

"Terre is a seasoned pro with decades of foundational tech experience that will be instrumental in advancing our UX. But most importantly, she's energized by our vision and has a true excitement for our business and our different take on beauty," said Katia Beauchamp, co-founder and CEO of Birchbox, in an emailed statement.

"As an online business, so much of our brand needs to shine through in 2D form – Fran embraces the challenge of creating emotion and showing the world that we're a credible player in beauty while blazing our own trail," Beauchamp said. "They are both incredibly talented leaders and will take our customer experience to the next level from the inside out."

Birchbox has been on a growth tear, opening brick and mortar locations, growing subscribers and launching a signature beauty brand.
