BestBuy Sales Reps To See Into Partner's Supply Chains

By February, BestBuy is planning for its sales associates on the store floor to have direct access not only to the chain's own supply, but also full visibility into the supply chains of key partners, including Sony, according to an SAP executive that sold BestBuy its new system.

Jim Mattecheck, the general manager and senior VP for the Americas at SAP, said this would be the first time the $38 billion retailer offered such access to sales associates on the floors of its more than 1,000 stores.
