Belk names Kessler CIO

Belk announced that it has named Scott Kessler as its new CIO, effective immediately. He has been VP of omnichannel solutions delivery for the retailer since March 2014, and will report President and COO John Belk.

"We are very pleased to announce Scott Kessler's promotion to our top information technology post," Belk said. "Since joining Belk, Scott has led our efforts to strengthen IT, to improve our system operations and to further define our omnichannel roadmap. He will bring great strategic leadership to our business as we continue to meet the changing needs of our customers."

Before holding his previous position, Kessler served in numerous IT roles for 20 years, 10 of which were with GSI Commerce Solutions, where he was VP of products technology. He also worked for six years at Accenture and led e-commerce practice at global IT services firm ProV International as executive VP. Story
