Beacons beam content from Elle's September issue inside stores

Elle magazine is partnering with brick-and-mortar retailers in a beacon-enabled promotion, making its September issue more shoppable. The publication has partnered with shopping app ShopAdvisor, Swirl Networks and RetailMeNot to create ads that utilize Gimbal's BLE and geofence technology. The ads trigger exclusive content and offers on a shopper's smartphone when in range of the store. Story
