Barnes & Nobles buys back stake in Nook

Barnes & Noble has bought back Pearson Plc's stake in its Nook Media e-reader division for $28 million. The largest U.S. bookstore chain is now the complete owner of the division. Pearson's stake was purchased for $13.8 million in cash and 603,000 shares in Barnes & Noble common stock. The agreement comes soon after the company bought back Microsoft's Nook holdings and now gives the bookstore more flexibility to rid itself of the struggling unit. Story
