BareMinerals launches pop-up shop

BareMinerals is launching its first concept shop in New York's SoHo district. The Shade Shop, which opened last week, features two floors of polished concrete and wooden fixtures, as well as an assortment of skin products arranged by "shade family," reported Racked.

The line of beauty products will be organized according to skin complexion, with sections for light, medium, tan, dark and deep skin tones. Other makeup from the bareMinerals brand will include eye and lip products, but each season the shop will change its look—the first makeover will launch in November, just in time for fall.

BareMinerals is one of several fashion and beauty retailers to recently launch a concept shop in New York. Fendi opened its first pop-up shop a few weeks ago in the same neighborhood, and last spring Urban Outfitters (NASDAQ:URBN) unveiled its Space Ninety 8 concept store in Brooklyn, which features an event space showcasing local designers' wares.
