Apple Pay up and running for 200 Michigan grocers

Apple Pay users in Michigan can now shop at more than 200 grocery stores. With the release of the iPhone 6 in September, Apple debuted its virtual payment platform, using NFC technology. And while some merchants pledged to disable NFC technology and wait for the roll out of the CurrentC app—including supermarket chains Giant Eagle, Publix, My Goods Market, Shop Rite, Walmart and Target—Meijer is accepting Apple Pay at all 106 of its stores in Michigan. Other supermarkets accepting the payment platform include SpartanNash, Forest Hills Foods, VG's, Glen's and ValuLand. Story
