American Express launches Checkout

American Express announced the launch of its new payment service, Checkout. The new payment method, similar to PayPal, allows card holders to make payments on partnering retailers' websites and apps. Using a login and password from an online Amex account, billing and shipping information will be automatically entered for shoppers. The move comes as companies like Google and PayPal compete to own buy buttons on websites and apps. Story
