David Danziger has now completely removed himself from the American Apparel board. He previously served as co-chairman of the board until last December.
Danziger's departure allows CEO Paula Schneider to assume a seat on the board.
American Apparel is also still seeking an independent director for the board as part of an agreement made with Jeffery Kolb after he threatened to start a proxy battle for board seats.
Kolb, a shareholder, is close to founder and ex-CEO Dov Charney, who American Apparel has a lawsuit against for attempting to reassume control of the company in violation of his departure agreement.
Danziger served as co-chair with Allan Mayer until stepping down and ceding the role to Colleen Brown. Story
