Low-price grocery chain Aldi announced it will host hiring events throughout the United States this month in an effort to hire 2,500 new employees. The step is part of the supermarket's goal of creating 10,000 new jobs by the end of 2018. Aldi currently operates 1,400 stores in 32 states and employs about 20,000 people around the country. The plan is to open 650 new locations, bringing the total store count to 2,000 by the end of 2018. Aldi will open the first of the new stores in southern California in March 2016. Story
