Abercrombie & Fitch prototype coming in 2017

Abercrombie & Fitch's (NYSE:ANF) new prototype is coming to the Polaris Fashion Place in Ohio, but not until 2017.

The company has developed, tested and begun rolling out elements of a new prototype for its Hollister brand. If those efforts are any indication, the updated Abercrombie will be lighter, brighter and more accessible to a wider market.

It also will be free of the scantily clad models and logo wear that made Abercrombie & Fitch famous.

The brand's latest ads and catalog represent a revamped image and feature fully dressed models. Management made a promise last year to develop a less sexualized marketing strategy.
