New platform supports single-view across Amazon and storefronts

E-commerce platform BigCommerce has announced a new integration to support retailers selling on Amazon. The solution allows BigCommerce retailers to simultaneously sell the same products on their branded sites and Amazon with a single view of the product. In other words: one view of product details, inventory counts and order processing.

BigCommerce is now the first cloud-based commerce platform to support selling on Amazon, Facebook and Pinterest from a single interface.

"As merchants grow and begin selling across multiple channels, managing and maintaining an accurate view of inventory can become a real barrier to growth," said Jimmy Duvall, chief product officer for BigCommerce. "By bringing this functionality to BigCommerce, our customers can now use the same product catalog and effortlessly sync orders and inventory as they diversify their channel mix and acquire new customers."

Currently, the integration is available in the Amazon categories of toys & games, home & garden, and health & beauty. BigCommerce customers based in the United States or selling in U.S. currency can connect and configure Amazon as a sales channel.

“We want to help our retail customers capitalize on the revenue opportunity provided by selling on Amazon," Duvall said. "Effectively competing in today’s retail environment begins with ensuring your products are present wherever your customers want to shop."
