ECoupon redemption to double, reach $81B in 5 years

ECoupon redemption is expected to double in the next five years, reaching $81 billion in 2021, according to Juniper Research. The rapid growth, up from the current $40 billion, will be a result of new technologies, including connected cars. Juniper believes growth will be fueled by current partnerships, including those between OnStar, Groupon, Exxon Mobil and RetailMeNot, which provide in-vehicle offers tailored to location. Juniper also found significant opportunity via location-based promotions similar to the concept with in-store beacons. (Juniper Research)
