EBay has rolled out a simplified listing process to help its sellers. The app update now allows sellers to list items in under one minute.
The move comes one year after eBay rolled out simplified selling, a platform that uses structured data and predictive analytics to prepopulate listings. Now the update is available on Android and iOS and allows items to be listed within seconds. Sellers only need to find the product they are listing by scanning in the barcode or typing a description. Then, the user notes the item's condition and clicks "list your item."

“At eBay, we’re dedicated to delivering a seamless and efficient selling experience for both first-time and seasoned sellers alike,” says Kelly Vincent, eBay’s VP of consumer selling product and engineering. “This latest update continues to leverage eBay’s structured data, which helps catalog the more than 1.1 billion items on the platform, to instantaneously populate product details, pricing and shipping information in the listing flow."
Vincent added that this is just one of many enhancements eBay be making this year. New initiatives will continue to leverage structured data and new technology developments to help sellers.
