Estée Lauder enables lipstick try-on feature, online purchases via Facebook

ModiFace helps Estée Lauder customers purchase lipstick via Facebook

Estée Lauder has launched a lipstick adviser chatbot, powered by ModiFace, to help customers find their ideal lip color through Facebook. The chatbot is available via Facebook Messenger and uses ModiFace's technology to virtually match colors to any shade in the Estée Lauder assortment.

The technology also offers consumers a quiz that offers personalized shade recommendations based on the user's ideal color and finish preferences. Or users can upload a photo of any object and match that color to a shade of lipstick. 

And once a color is selected, it can be purchased via the messenger. 

Estée Lauder and ModiFace first partnered back in May to introduce an augmented reality based product try-on on the Estée Lauder website.

The new lipstick chatbot is available for use on any device that supports Facebook Messenger.
